Back Loads
Back loads are a great alternative to hiring a dedicated load for delivery.
What is the difference?
Return loads are picked up on a return journey, and delivered en route back to the warehouse or HQ.
This is an important distinction, as it can cut the cost of your delivery drastically.
Why? Because with a dedicated load, everything is built around delivering your goods. With return loads, though, the trucks are en route to another job, have finished that job, and are now returning to the depot. This means that you are picked up on the way back to the depot, and delivered en route. This suits both you (because the job gets done) and the haulier (because they can make a delivery on a wagon which would otherwise be empty).
Back loads may suit you if you have no time constraints for a delivery and can wait until we are passing your area with an empty truck on a return journey.
