Up to the frontage
The same job: a glazed modular unit swung up alongside the office frontage, the crew and ladders below it.
Swung in over the containers
The unit brought round over containers already in position, with the boom out to most of its length.
A butterfly sculpture, Salford to Leigh
23 March 2017. A tall openwork sculpture made of steel butterflies, strapped upright on the deck outside the workshop that built it, ready for the run from Salford to Leigh.
Roped and away
The same sculpture on the deck with the strops in and the vehicle about to move off. Artwork travels slowly and gets more packing than weight ever justifies.
The Christmas markets into Albert Square
Two of ours in Albert Square, building the Manchester Christmas markets in front of the Town Hall. The whole build runs to a road closure and a fixed number of hours.
A market chalet off the deck
A timber market chalet coming off the bed with the boom over the square. Dozens of them go in over a few days and every one lands within a marked footprint.
Fuel tanks out, two hiabs on one lift
A dual lift: two of our cranes taking one fuel tank between them, with three of the crew on the ground managing it.

The same lift with the tank clear of the ground and both booms carrying it. Two vehicles on one load is a planned operation with a lift plan behind it.

July 2017. Working inside the building at a renewable energy plant at Dukinfield, feeding lengths of insulated ductwork in over the plant deck with the boom under the roof steels.

Sixteen foot ten, to Hartlepool
An open-sided cabin and a second unit loaded nose to tail, waiting to leave a hard-standing for Hartlepool. At sixteen foot ten on the deck the route matters more than the lift, and every bridge on it is checked first.
