What we do in Ripon
Process equipment is the classic case for a lorry-mounted crane. It is heavy, it is tall, it has a high centre of gravity, and it usually has to go into a specific spot inside a working plant rather than onto an open apron.
Delivering it on a flatbed means hiring a crane to meet the lorry, which means two diaries, two set-ups and a lorry sitting waiting. Our crane arrives with the machine on the back and sets it down where it is going.
North Yorkshire is a comfortable day from Manchester across the A1(M) and the A61, and it is a corridor we run regularly rather than occasionally.

Our yard is at Miles Platting in Manchester - one site, our own vehicles and our own ALLMI trained driver / operators, rather than work farmed out to a local sub-contractor we have never met. Ripon is regular running for us, and jobs are priced by the job rather than by the mile, so the distance from the yard is not a line on your quote.
